Document and Deceit Part Two: Into the Shadows By: Tuwaki Mizumo Heike Detsune A woman was running from wall to wall with surprising speed. Two men were behind her; they were trying their their best to kill the woman, without much luck. Another lady stood still in frustration. *When will she die?* she thought. Moments later, the fleeing woman went to the door, but it was blocked. *If I don't get out of here soon, I'll run out of breath. Think, Mizumo, think!" but Mizumo had no time to think. She dashed to the other end of the room, scouting for possible exits. "It's going to take more than your two henchmen to kill me, Korin!" Mizumo taunted. Korin was getting more and more frustrated. It went on and on, until Mizumo accidentally dropped a document. Like a greedy pig grabbing her lunch, Korin got her hands on it and fled towards the door where her henchman stood guard. "Going somewhere?" Another lady asked while standing near an unconscious body near the door. "Detsune!" Korin gasped. Korin started moving backwards. "Yoshiro, Obuchi, dispose of them both!" she commanded in a voice tinted with fear. It was at that time when Detsune then took out a sword. "Mizumo, this is the only sword I could find on short notice. Catch." "Thanks!" Mizumo caught the sword, then glared over to one of the minions, "Now let's see who's chasing who!" One of the henchmen lunged at her, but she jumped, flipped the sword over (so it wouldn't kill the hench man), and slammed it against his back. That knocked him unconcious. "Is this all you got Korin?! Don't make me laugh!" Mizumo looked over at Korin, "Now we'll be taking that document thank you!" She hoped that Detsune was doing all right herself... but without warning, another man crashed in. Detsune saw his face and suddenly felt a chill run through her spine. The man was quick though. "Hagahara-sama will be pleased that you happen to cooperate with us again Korin-sama" was all the man said before he whisked Korin away as she screamed. She didn't want anything to do with him anymore. Detsune was right. Korin cursed herself for playing the game with Hagahara. But she couldn't get out now. You start it, it ends the moment your heart stops beating. *Him... him... he... I cant face him... I cant...* Detsune's face was already teary. She couldn't move. "Get a hold of yourself! We still need to go after them!" Mizumo was impatiently waiting for Heike. "No need. That was a fake." was her only reply. "A fake?!" Mizumo couldn't believe this, she had been after a FAKE document, "Well then! Where's the real document! and... she noticed Detsunes' teary face, "Ne... what's wrong?" "Oh.. nothing. Let's leave. We can look for real one some other time." "I didn't expect to hear that from you. How did you know it was a fake?" "I had it placed there in case someone else was looking for it." "Oh, I see." Mizumo started to grin. "And when they find out, they'll get laughed at bad, huh?" "Yes. Now let's just leave." "Why so somber all of a sudden?" "That man... it simply pains me a lot to see him." Detsune was starting to cry again. "Well I dont care!" Mizumo exclaimed. "You dragged me here with these clothes. I'm not going to wear these again." "Very well then. We'll search tonight. But I guess you must know something about me." "Well? What?" Mizumo was starting to feel impatient again. "That man did something horrible around seventeen years ago." "What is it already? What did he do?" "I was five at the time when he... he... raped me." Mizumo's impatience disappeared and soon guilt and sadness entered... "Go... gomen Detsune... I shouldn't be so impatient since that man gave you a lot of pain... but we better get going! We need to find that document, and I need to get these clothes off!" Mizumo started to run off, but looked behind her to Detsune, "Are you just going to stand there? Come on!" Detsune lifted her head up and faced Mizumo. "Let's slip into something less restricting. There is a room near here where I have something your size-and mine." "Why didn't you tell me earlier? And what weapons do you have there?" "Because it's easier to to get in using the front door, and your holding the weapon I had in storage right now." "Oh... how did you know about this?" "I made the building - well, at least I designed it. Let's go." Detsune's tears disappeared, and she was all business now. The two ladies went into the next room soon after. Mizumo saw a replica of her fighting suit that fit her within the room. *She's good. How did she know my size?* Detsune changed into a ninja outfit and toolk ahold of two jeweled daggers. "Your a ninja!?" Mizumo asked in a startled voice. Mizumo could not believe Detsune might be a ninja, and how did she know her right size for her fighting outfit? *She must be good, we don't each other that well and yet she's knows my size.* She looked over at the two daggers Detsune was holding, *she must be a ninja, or maybe it's just some outifit.* Mizumo changed into her fighting clothes, glad to be rid of the dress. She rephrased her question, "Detsune, are you a ninja? I just want to know..." Detsune took out a folded fan. On one side, it had "Heike Detsune" printed on it. On the other, it had the characters of "Doku no Gei". "Yes, I'm truly a ninja, Doku Ninjitsu style." Detsune then opened the fan to reveal the material which is steel. "Before the master let us choose our own weapon, it was mandatory to master all the special techniques of the Doku Ninjitsu fan first." Detsune added. Just when the two were about to leave, another Ninja came up to them. "Detsune-sama, the Heike Mansion is under attack." he reported. "Defend it. I can't afford to lose the document now." Heike replied without any emotion. "Very well. But I shall be your advance party, Detsune-sama." "Alright then. Mizumo, let's get to work." Detsune's voice was like steel, and this time, she was impatient. Mizumo noted the impatience, "All right, I'm ready." She was impatient herself, *If we're going to get an important document, I should be prepared to face whatever amount of guards there are* she thought... * * * The two ladies were walking. Shadows flickered. Winds howled. The moon was shedding its cool blue light. The night was still young. Mizumo looked around, the howl from the wind added to the suspense she felt. She felt that they would be near their destination soon, and the sooner, the better... "This is the place where my spies haven't searched yet. It may be the place." Detsune whispered. The two of them stepped inside to find three swordsmen searching the room. Surprised, they stared at each other for five seconds. Detsune got ready. "Mizumo! They are not friends!" "Got it. Time to show these guys what I've got" Mizumo said as she drew her sword. Mizumo, using her speed wasted no time defeating one of them. She surprised him by jumping up in front of him and using his speed to bring him down... not killing him but knocking him out. "Easy as pie," she muttered, she looked over at Detsune, who was doing a very good job of dispatching these guys as well... * * * Soon after, the two came near an office. And a document was on the table. 'Tramar de Asasinato' was written. Detsune could not contain her curiosity any longer. She opened it and Mizumo peeked from behind. The two ladies read and were shocked. [End Part Two/Into the Shadows]
