What	The RKRPG (Rurouni Kenshin RPG) is a mailing-list RPG based on the Anime series Rurouni Kenshin. Players assume the roles of characters they have created then write relay stories to the rest of the RPG. Who	Applications Closed Create a character, then write up a profile using the guidelines below and mail it to [email protected]. Main series characters are listed under Non-Playing Characters. This means that there are no players attached to them and they are therefore, free for the writers to play around with provided no serious damage is done to them. I repeat, they are not open for application. Please try to be original, creative and insightful! Harada Sanosuke, Yamakawa Shoichi and Kazeki Ryo are up for adoption. Interested please send a writing sample in character and send it in to applications at [email protected].
How	Simply start a story using your character and send the story on to the next person who should make an appearance. You are not allowed to make any major changes or decisions to and for any character other than your own. This deals mainly with killing and relationships. If you decide you hate someone's guts, it's fine. Just make sure you have the player's permission before dicing him/her up. Similarly, you can have your character have a crush, but for the other character to like you back, again you have to have express permission. If the person is one of the series characters, then you are free to say, but it will be subject to all the members' agreement. i.e, if you want to be Tsubame's boyfriend, it's fine as long as the rest agree. Then, as usual, comes the hentai-and-violence part. This game is NC-16. Face it, in a setting like this, bloodshed is very commonplace, so get as gory as you like. But much as we dislike to restrict your creative juices, I'm afraid you'll have to stop short of anything that violates Network Protocals and the Law. In plain language, cuddle, snuggle, drop hints about spending the night, rape, but no porn or lemon fics. Do it in your own time on your own sites.

Guide	Applications Closed Name: Your character's name Alias(es): Nicknames or titles (please specify which it is) Birthday: Self explanatory Special Traits: Any special physical or personality traits Favourite -Food: Self explanatory -Animal: Self explanatory -Colour: Self explanatory -Past-time: What he/she likes doing best -Thing: Anything he/she likes best -Saying: A favourite quote or phrase. Something like a motto. Has Trouble With: What does the character have a problem doing? Weaknesses: What can't he/she stand up against? What can his/her enemies use against him/her? Least Favourite -Food: Self explanatory -Animal: Self explanatory -Colour: Self explanatory -Past-time: What he/she dislikes to do most -Thing: What he/she dislikes most School: The school to which he/she belongs. For example, Kaoru and Yahiko are of the Kamiya School. Please, Don't try to belong to more than one school/discipline. I mean, the schools are possesive and even if they aren't, it takes years and years to master the skills. Be realistic. If there's more than one it'll be assumed to be just dabbling. And please, if you're creating your own school, excercise some creativity naming it! Signiture Phrase: Something he/she says so often it has become a trademark Dreams/Goals: Right now? In the next twenty years? Weapon -Name: The Chinese and Japanese used to name their weapons, especially swords. -Type: a brief description of the Weapon. What is it? How does it look like? What about distinguishing marks? -Attacks: A minimium of 2 attacks with brief descriptions of their execution Physical Appearance -Age: Self explanatory -Height: Self explanatory -Weight: Self explanatory -Hair Colour: Self explanatory -Eye Colour: Self explanatory -Description: A short description in prose I know Kenshin has red hair and purple eyes. Don't ask me how. If your character is Asian, he/she would have dark eyes and hair. Meaning, you can have "brown", "blue-black", "green-black", "purple-black" but not "sky blue" or "apple green" without good reason (i.e your parents had them). Also, if your character is well-trained in martial arts and extremely powerful and all, please don't make him/her too young! Bearing in mind the time frame, the teenagers would have been raised in Meiji, after the war. Personality: What's he/she like? What are his/her quirks? Be detailed. Details impress me. History: Where was he/she born? How was the childhood? Parents? Friends? What happened that shaped him/her into the person he/she is today? How does he or she come into the RPG's picture? Further Development: What do you think or hope will happen by introducing the character into the RPG? What are your plans for him/her? *Additional Information: additional information that doesn't seem to fit anywhere else and how your character will take to the other characters. Please try to be detailed. Don't just say "He likes Sui". Say why he likes her as well. Writing Sample: a minimium of 2 paragraphs written as or about your character to show off your literny skills. Mini-stories are fine. HINTS* What impresses me? Good apps. Lots of relevant details and explanations, originality and thought. That would make your Personality, History, Additional Info and Writing Sample sections extremely important. Show me that you have thought about this character. Don't leave blank fields without good reason. Don't tell me "nobody knows". Sure, none of the charcters know. But YOU know. And I want to know. Put your character into the RPG. Make me an offer I can't refuse. Pictures are nice too.
